Sarah Simpson-Weiss is a virtual assistant specializing in helping authors with their day-to-day needs so that they can focus on what is most important, writing.

Sarah is a professional chaos-wrangler, bookaholic, and fan of all things whimsically weird. She is in a deeply committed relationship with Microsoft Excel and an open relationship with several brands of non-traditional hair color. Adopted as an infant, she will neither confirm nor deny that she is the long-lost love child of Freddie Mercury and David Bowie.”

Living only a block away from the library turned Sarah into a voracious reader at a very young age.  But it was being a library aide in middle and high school that set her on a path into the wonderful world of literature early on in life.

Sarah is an experienced, professional author and book publishing assistant who has worked with New York Times bestselling authors and has experience with franchise related properties such as Star Wars.

A happily married, a mother of two, Sarah still lives in her hometown in the beautiful state of Iowa.   After high school, she bounced around, never really finding her niche, until she was offered the Children's and Teen’s Librarian position at her hometown library.  It was this job that opened the door to the publishing world, introducing her Rachel Caine. Once she became Rachel’s assistant, Sarah opted to leave the library community to work from home to be a more hands-on mom. Years of working for Rachel introduced Sarah to new authors, friends, colleagues, and industry professionals in the literary world, allowing her to gain new clients and grow her assistant business while still being home to support her family.  It is thanks to Rachel that she has been able to turn her love of books, reading, and all things bookish into a career through which she can support her family.
